Uncle and older brother had some corn standing overwinter a couple times. Uncle got about 70-80 bu/acre and feed some right away to dairy cows. brother turned out the feeder calves to clean up field. Father a couple times had spring farrow sows and little pigs to clean up over wintered corn. this was a long while back when fences were still up and livestock was available to do the gleaning. Past couple years sister and bil had some standing corn in low ground and had to try to combine in spring, gave it up and replanted corn in the patch. The ground has been put into conservation reserve now, no more worry and ducks have their spring nesting grounds. RN
