I have heard about people being sued for what they post on the internet. In the article I read, AOL says it gets about 450 subpeonas a year, and for every one, they give out the subscribers information. They just recently started telling the subscriber about it! The lawyers say, "Its illegal to defame or slander someones character, with only your opinions, not facts!" Of course, its the same old story, someone who thinks you've slandered them, with deep pockets and who can afford to waste money on attorneys, will sue. Someone who thinks you've slandered them, but has to work for a living, won't have the necessary $$$ to make you life a living ____. Don't get me wrong, I know lawyers work hard, (or so I've been told), and their not all bad. I think it would be kinda neat to watch one try to build fence for 12 hours in July however! Anyways, if they guy your talking about is a private citizen without the $$$, there's probably nothing to fear. If its a dealer or some corporation, be careful. Sad, huh?
