Buyer beware is right. I have bought tractors from neighbors. My fault on one because I didnt ask enough questions. It had a cracked head. Another one I bought had a cracked head and a flat crankshaft. I didnt know that at the time but should have walked away for other reasons. I do have a lawyer friend who is also involved in a family farm situation. He has been very reasonable with the work he has done for me.
