I had never heard of one till my wife figured out our dog was going to have pups. I made it just like my wife said. Ply wood bottom, 2X10 sides, full of fresh clean straw. Worked half a day on it cause wife said it had to have flush corners and couldn't have rough edges on the inside. How in the world did dogs live for millions of years before plywood was invented, I will tell you. Just like our litte dog had and raised her pups after I built the box, under the wood shed.
