That's not a valid arguement, as you are just as likely to get in an accident on your own street as you are 1000 miles from home. As far as farm trailers, I've built several that were intended tfor over the raod usage between farms, and have installed brake controllers on the tractors. The actaution is manual only on most tractors (lack of brake lights), but it is safer all around. Tractor trailers have a limiting valve to switch between wet/dry road conditions, that reduces braking on the steering axle, however, trailers don't steer, and the load is equalized. Running 1/2 the braking capacity is just plain dangerous.
