The double flare is a made by bending the single flare part back over on itself you start it back with a flaring piece and once it bends inward then you finish it as a regular flare thsi really makes a leak proof joint but you need a certain type of flaring kit like you would use on some automotive type brakes. Should be available at most automotive stores as a kit mine was 18.00 Canadian and I have used it once on a brake line on my Buick
