Some of you may be happy, annoyed, or ticked off to know that John Deere has really increased the number of acquisitions of other companies or acquired enough stock to have control. The more recent acquisitions have been with Phoenix International, AGRIS Corp., and NavCom Technology. These companies are large into the technologies, GPS, electronic control/monitor, agribusinesses management products. The most interesting acquistion was the Timberjack Group which specializes in timber havesting equipment. I just recieved the latest JD Journal and I found it interesting. I am not trying to prove anything. I guess it is all based on the almighty $$$$$ for the Deere Corporation.
