Just asked my wife, the quilter in the family, and she said to wad up a piece of wax paper and run it over the bottom of the iron after it is heated up. Then put an old sheet or towel on the ironing board and work it back and forth and it will come off. She said acouple of layers thick on the board will keep the wax and whatever from coming through to the ironing board. Says it works like a charm. Butch-IA
