I've got a teenage son I'm teaching to run my old Farmals. I've got him programmed to always take the tractor out of gear when stopping and then let the clutch out like you would if it was still in gear just in case he messed up. I'm in the habit of checking a tractor for being in gear I guess because my Dad used to do that before he hand cranked his H.
