Most people use calcuim choride solution in tires because their Father did & the price is cheap.
If purchasing new, forget about the fluid & spend the fluid money on the radial option. Run them dry. Same price, more traction,less compaction, better fuel efficiency
After veiwing the facts we pumped our tires dry & changed tubes where required,repaired/replaced rims on all the tractors.
Sorry the liquid ballast in the tire has the same mass,weight & inertia as cast weight mounted externally. In fact worse as the fluid can slosh & multiply the thrust.
A fluid filled tire as less flexability, rides rougher & has a poorer grip than the same tire dry with the same weight externally mounted.
Internal ballast is not easily removed after heavy tillage is completed. The extra soil compaction reduces crop yields by hundreds or thousands of dollars depending on your field size.
A bias ply tire equiped two wheel drive tractor should weigh 125 to 140 lbs per drawbar HP. 25% to 35% of the weight is to be on the front wheels.
Calcuim choride will ruin the paint & any metal it touches. Most tire valves eventually leak after being exposed to the salt solution.
