One of the reasons that engines last longer these days is because the oil is so much better. I use Quaker State oil in my TEA20, I used to use non-detergent oil, up here in Ontario you can still get it from Canadian Tire. Some old timers told me that modern oil is not good for old tractors but when I started to do reasearch, every book that I read on the subject said that modern oils are much better for your engine, regardless of when the engine was made.
