430 John Deere

The Hunting Club of which I am a member, owns a JD 430-W which is used for preparing and planting game food plots.

I have used the tractor a few times and have found it difficult to steer. Even driving the tractor down a dirt road, it is difficult to keep it between the ditches. Not only does it wander, but the steering is stiff, requiring a great deal of manpower to activate. It steers as though it has power steering without any hydraulic pressure.

My question for anyone familiar with this model JD, does this tractor possibly have power steering? If the steering is manual, is there any help for the difficult steering?
