A friend of mine used to be a county deputy. One night he got a prowler call at the isolated rural home of an elderly lady in an area that was noted for having problems.. When he got there the ladies small front porch floor was almost completely covered with 30 carbine brass. when he asked her about it she stated 2 men broke a window and were trying to get in when she went out on the porch with the carbine her son had given her. She had emptied the entire 30 round clip in the direction of their pickup. When I asked him what he did, he replied " I showed her how to reload".
