My 8n motor has already been converted to 12 volt system but the mounting bracket for the alternator is a homemade job. It has somehow worked for a long time but when I had to remove it recently for other repairs and put it back on now I cannot get it to line up for nothing!!! I've spent hours on this!!! Belt just keeps slipping off over and over again. I think the only reason it was staying on to begin with is that the belt was pretty old and wore out so it fit pretty far down into the pulley. Now that I have a new one on it, it wont stay in there. So here is my question...Can I get the 12 volt conversion mounting bracket without buying the whole kit. Thats kind of expensive considering all that I need is the mounting bracket. HELP!!!!
