5 to 6 miles, depending on where you want to go in town. We have a Walmart now (avoid it as much as possable), Ace hardware, NAPA, CarQuest, etc. Ladysmith, population 3800 +/-, is the county seat, and the only "city" in the county. Neighboring towns ("towns" is being generous...realy only villages)both have better lumber yards, and the one has a pretty decent hardware selection,too. (actually closer to my place too - about 4 miles) Have to go 15 miles to the nearest JD dealer, 45 for NH dealer, Farm & Fleet, Menards, and a rather poor mall. Anything bigger/better, it's 60-65 miles away.
