So its not such a big area after all, You might consider looking into a used orchard tractor, a low profile tractor in the 40-50 hp range. Take a look at the ford 3000's, 4000's series of tractors and the MF 200's. And keep your eye open for a tractor that has been traded in off a golf coarse, you might find a kubota tractor that is low profile and has turf tires and has some sort of mower. make sure the tractor has ROPS, (Roll over protectice structure) and wear your seat belt

If you have a sickle bar mower you could drive beside the ditch and chopp the weeds off at ground level, as well the sickle mower would work to mow wvery thing else you have, aside from having two mowers this seems to me your only choice. A weed wacker will work in the ditches, hows your back and how long are the ditches.

You might also look into older articulating golf coarse mowers, and smaller articulating acerage lawm mowers, husqvarna makes a model in the 20 hp range, there are also a few other brands. check them out too.

It seems a shame to get a tractor just to mow grass one a month over the summer, get some attachments for it to do the work around acerage.
