It would be in your best interest to find the part you need. I had the same issue about 10 years back. It did not fall off, but came loose and chewed everything up. I junked the truck because I would have needed to replace more than the old truck was worth.
Maybe by posting this some one out there has some parts that they would be willing to part with.
What year truck have you got and is it a Dana 50 with factory hubs?
