Great picture I remember chopping, it was peppermint though. Those of us that farmed without a cell phone know it was a much slower pace and less hectic time. I farmed in the 70's and 80's and didn't go to town very often and farmed 1600 acres of wheat and peppermint. You planned your trips. I know my wife went more than I did but I had farming to do and loved those days too. I was lucky and didn't have to go to town to get seed and fertilizer, just a mile down the road. 12 miles to town. Those tractors before computers and plastic were tough, not a lot you couldn't fix in the field.
