Mark, I don"t refute that the earth is warming. I"m south of you in Ohio and 10,000 years or so ago, my property was supposedly under 1 mile of glacial ice. That ice melted without man made interference. Is it possible that the current retreat of ice is just a continuation of the process that began 10,000 years ago? Also, all this ice melted, yet Ohio isn"t under sea. Just seems that the application of some basic common sense dispels most of the man made climate change. With recorded weather history of around 150 years and an earth that is thought to be billions of years old, I can"t put any faith in using recorded weather records to justify a long term trend. We don"t have enough information to know what is "normal" and what is not. The earth appears to have always been in a state of change. Transferring wealth from our sucessful country to the rest of the world under the guise of climate change is a farce with a very big price tag and even bigger economic consequences.
