There is a ground stud on the end of the starter motor. Take the cable off, clean the connections, tighten the jamb nut on the stud, then reinstall the cable. Probably wouldn't hurt to check and clean the other battery cable on the top of the solenoid. Once that's done, check to see if you have power coming from the key to the top blade on the solenoid. If not, check the wires at the neutral safety switch and the PTO safety switch (on the PTO lever) There should be power in and power out when you're cranking. Last but not least, you can go into the fuse panel and find the square relay for the ignition circuit. Check that there's power there on the smaller control circuit and the larger blades that supply power to the solenoid. Could also be a bad relay... Honestly... what I usually do is put the tractor in neutral, lock the brakes... then jump power onto the top blade on the solenoid OR short the posts from the solenoid top to bottom. If ti starts you know the primary connections are good and the starter works. If it doesn't, then you look at the starter or the cables...
