Right now we do buy oil from people that want to kill us and we will run out of oil someday. So we have to find another energy source. Now would you rather accept the short comings of ethanol (or modify your vehicle accordingly), or have to get rid of everything you own that runs on gas since the only other alternatives are electric and fuel cell power.
