I have never seen a parts book that says to procure locally. If Ford is like Cat, they will use oddball sizes so you have to buy from them. I doubt Ford makes their own hyd. valves though, so possibly a good seal/hyd. place could match the o-rings. O-rings can be made to any size as well. I know a mechanic that used to work for a big dealer. They would buy bearings locally and get boxes from the OEM to put them in and jack the price way up. This isn't uncommon. JD tries to say that they get the premium bearings and the ones that aren't good enough go to the bearing house. Ya, right. I saved over $400 when I did the final drives on a JD 355D crawler. Dave
