That's a good way to end up wearing a tractor as a hat! But if your gonna try it, somehting like what JD790 is probably best. I've also seen guy's use a upside town T made out of I-beams where the force on the stump (or fence post in this case) was being pulled up, and the force on the tractor was opposing the tendency for it to flip.
