What is the cranking amps of the batteries? What is the size of the cables. How old are the batteries and has the specific gravity been checked? Was the starter a rebuild or new replacement? In general battery cables with repair ends are a tragedy on those big diesels. Does the block feel warm in the area surounding the block heater? If the batteries are adequate; I always put 1000 amp batteries in any diesel, and the cables are in excellent condition suspect the starter. mEl
