Clean it up real good and if you have some one close have them look it over before you fire it. If found to be ok then buy some shot shells for it that way you can be close and still hit that varmint. I keep shot shells for my 44mag and they are almost a no miss thing at say 20 yard and even if you get a close miss it is most likely a hit I may self play with guns all the time Play as in use them and collect them when I can and have a friend with an FFL
