My dad always had me paranoid about re building carbs and had me convinced that it should be done by pros only. Then I tried it myself on the MS carb on my 1600, and it only took me a couple hours. Took it apart and let it soak an hour or so in carb cleaner from Napa, then put it all together with a kit from the dealer. Been running great since. I have been able to idel it down to about 300 RPM and have it not die or stumble when giving it some more throttle again.
