P=pressure or hose from pump T=tank or return to hydraulic tank A=hose to one end of cylinder B=hose to other end of eylinder A&B are dependent on handle movement. Open center means when the handle is in the center position the fluid returns to the hydraulic tank, what you want. Closed center means fluid flow is blocked when the handle is in the center, which will build up heat. This is a 4 way valve.
