What did you do to get the P1336? If it just came in with a check engine light on and 1336 is the only DTC, pretty good chance it needs a PCM. The only time you need to relearn the CKP is if you reprogrammed or replaced the PCM, put in a new CKP, or did anything major like a crank in the engine or complete engine. You say the pattern is good? Did you tap in to the CKP circ near the PCM? Another thing to think about is the CKP circuit is a twisted pair. Some even have shielding on them to prevent interference.
