My opinion is that once they establish a trail it will be near impossible to shut it down. There will be those that will not respect your wishes and those that will resort to threats (you are not home 24-7 to watch your place, are you?). I have not heard one sheriff's deputy, state trooper, or lawyer mention NYS Obligations Law in discussion concerning trespassers on our place. When was this passed? Is this applicable across the entire state? I am not trying to be a smart arse. Seems like I only hear about the wiley plaintiff's lawyers that know how to work around most statutes.
