Re:Ford N series 9N built 1939-1941 2N built 1942-1946 8N built 1947-1952 Essentially 9N&2N are"basically"the same 4cyl,3spd tractor.8N got new transmission(4spd)pedal placement change,improved hydraulic control,with draft control for better depth control when plowing.All 3 are popular tractors to this day and most parts are readily available.They are simple to work on and inexpensive(overall) to own and operate.Suggest you chk Ford 9n2n8n Board here.Also below is link to site w/mucho info.Note:"Properly" 9N&2N would be all grey,8N grey hood/fenders,red beneath(redbelly Fords)but not always refinished this way.
