Mostly Enlish with a little Scottish and Cherokee. Ancesters on my father's side were 3 brothers who came to Jamestown, Virginia with John Smith in 1607. Mother's side were Baileys from England but originally Baleigh from France. bOTH families migrated through Virginia to Eastern Kentucky. Grandfather bought a farm in Hardin County, Ohio about 1920 and their children followed them a few years later and I was born on the banks of the Sciota River, so guess that makes me a river rat.
I like listening to the Mayflower descendants bragging about their heritage. I just smile and tell them we were on shore to welcome them.
