The jap model numbers that I've seen were simply 'F1900' etc. There were no codes that I recall... That looks like a x600 series or later model number and as I recall the 'D' at that point indicated a 56xx tractor. 'E' indicated a 6xxx tractor and 'F' indicated a 7xxx tractor. I was just looking at a 6610 this afternoon so that I'm sure of... This serial number seems funny, but I think it's still a Basildon number, perhaps from the second round after they passed the million unit mark. That I think should put in in '78 OK...
