My Dads truck did that this summer.1996 vortec. Had fuel pressure on the rail and no start. It was the main fuel injector. Mechanic had to chose the injector or electronic part that fires the injector. He chose right the first time and said he felt lucky because where he got the parts they weren"t returnable. Cost just under $500 for the repair. Yours coud be a different problem. My son and I used a shot of starting fliud for gas engines to test. If I sprayed a little in the intake it would fire and run a second or two..
