Yep, Thunder Road had the 1950 Ford with a OHV Ford motor. According to accounts I've read it was a 1951 Ford with 1950 grill that had actually been put together by Ashville area bootleggers and sold to the film company. There is a scene where the car is blown up and it shows the key in a 51 Ford dash being turned to blow up the car.
