I looked at several cell phones (including the jitterbug) and two years ago settled on a Tracfone. The phone was $19.99 and a 60 minute card was $19.99 also. The next week the phone was on sale for $9.99. Oh well! You must buy a card at least every 90 days to keep the phone in service but the unused minutes roll over. I use my phone as a emergency phone but also use it for long distance to keep my land line cost down. Right now I have 221 minutes (units) on it and I only buy the 60 minute/90 day cards. I've called coast to coast and have never had trouble connecting. All this for less than $7.00 a month. But!!!!!!! Remember to use it at your convenience and not for others. David..............
