Auto insurance really chapps my hide! I too have multiple vehicles. Insurance companies are really covering the DRIVER and that drivers habits [good or bad] and thier abilities as drivers. When you have multiple vehicles and policies, its gravy money for them. It really doesn't matter how many modes of transportation you have, I am willing to bet you can only drive one at a time. So why does the second or third vehicle cost extra? If I'm driving my pickup. my car is not being driven so I really don't need the "additional" coverage. Just my thoughts. How about insurance based on driving record and total miles per year - not the vehicle itself.
