Years ago I remember a report on the local news about a truck driver that was killed when the air tank under the truck cab exploded. This was during a winter storn, so ice may have been a big factor. bottom line is that the compressor governor did not shut off and the "pop off" valve at the tank did not open.
Replace the governor and inspect / test pop off/ pressure relief valves. You dont need to die because of a stupid double air system failure, especially when the parts are so cheap.
