: : : : MY 8N STARTS AND RUNS FINE WHEN IT'S THE FIRST START OF THE DAY. HOWEVER, WHEN I RUN IT AND THEN SHUT IT DOWN IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO RESTART. IF I LET IT SIT FOR A WHILE AND COOL OFF IT STARTS FINE AGAIN. IT SEEMS AS IF THE STARTER WON'T TURN IT OVER WHEN IT'S HOT. ANY IDEAS? THX

: : : I've experienced the same thing on a few Fords and the problem has been the Solenoid.Hope this helps, Me

: : :::Sorry for the intrusion on this topic, but this is a message for Indian Guy on an unrelated topic. As to the desert vegetable garden book, try this site http://www.kaiwan.com/~wem/smith.html ,the book is $6.50 and you can e-mail the author direct. Man, this internet stuff is mind boggling. Bonehead (Do you think the battery could be over charging on that 8-n ?)

: :is it 6v or 12v? and is engine running hot? how about ign. timming. if its still 6v with generator you may want to convert to 12v.

Thanks to the Bonehead. On the tractor, if there are any wires that are not in the best of shape they could have enough resistance to stop things until they cool enough to flow full power. Have you tried Rossow or Llamas?
