You asked for other suggestions. Here is my answer to high pressure washers. Unit was under construction when this photo was taken. Cat plunger pump was bought new more than 20 years ago. It was mounted on two other trucks and driven by their PTOs previously. It can absorb 40 hp and I think it is rated for 5000 psi @ 10 gpm. A 90 gallon aluminum tank mounts on fast hitch. The tank and pump can be hose fed or charged with another pump not shown here. Pulleys have been swapped top for bottom currently.
