Stan, if you are sure you have a supply of fuel to the injectors be sure to check your injector pump coupling. I had mine go bad once. It broke out so only one bolt was really holding and the timing slipped back. Would barely run and blew white smoke. Bent the drive shaft from the timing gears in the process. Had to dismantle the whole front end and change it. That same shaft also has a gear on it that drives the engine oil pump.
