I think the military needs to screen its recruits better,and then they need to re-screen them periodically. Anyone who has reservations about their ability or willingness to fight ALL enemies of our nation, regardless of religion, should be declared "4-F," unfit for military service, and discharged dishonorably. Certainly there's a chapter of military law that could be used to remove them from the service for incompatability with life in the military.
At that point, we don't even need to mention religion; therefore, it wouldn't fall under religious discrimination statutes, but under suitability to serve in the armed forces of our nation.
