Had mine done 3 yrs ago. Never regreted it.No pain to this day. NO it won't be like it was when you were 20 yrs old! You may not want to land on it when skydiving or use it for your sliding leg when flat track motorcycle racing etc but it will be a huge improvement over a worn out original.
