Would like to hear a little more about your system; looked on e-bay and prices run from less than $200 to about $1,000. My sister lives next door (though 400 yds away) and her house was burgularized yesterday.........for the second time in less than a year. Door frame was reinforced last time and metal door installed; frame held,but the door came apart at the locks. No way to keep 'em out, but we might could catch 'em after the fact. Her house can't be seen from here or from the neighbor's on the other side. Some neighbors have an alarm system, but we're 10 minutes from town and I'm not sure how much of a deterrent they are; to me, it just tells the thief he has 10 minutes to clean the place out. I suppose the recording device would need to be hidden in the attic or somewhere; if we each got one, the recorder could be at each other's house. We gotta do something.
