I had the same problem 3 years ago when I started raising some hogs again small-scale, ~30 a year. The local daily hog market is pretty much a relic of the past. Seems like hogs have kind of gone the way of broilers. The upproducers suggestion was what I use to check. Go to livestock marketing and then select the Bucyrus,OH auction. They seem to be one of the few places that has a decent number of fat hogs selling live weight at auction. Personally, I don't pay any attention to the results for pricing - I sell all mine to people wanting to buy halves or wholes for their freezer and charge enough that I am willing to keep doing it.
