I'd second the grand canyon and jellystone. At jellystone, the rv park and campgrounds usually need reservations months in advance. It is easy to spend 4 days there and go to a different section of the park each day. Stop in Jackson hole for a day on the way or way back. If you and the kids are up to it, hike the grand canyon. We did it once. You need to make reservations for the ranch at the bottom months in advance. Except don't do what I did. We drove through monument valley on the way there and I stopped at one place and bought a navajo taco from a parking lot vendor. I hiked out of the grand canyon with diarrhea.
