All my box blade does on hard, rocky ground is bounce. When I have a situation like you describe I borrow a homemade root rake a friend made. A few passes aroung the ground with that and it's loose enough to move with box blade, loader, or whatever. He simply bolted four of chisel plow blades to a heavy 4 by 4 angle iron, and welded a piece of tubing to it, and it bolts right up to the tractor supply york rake frame he has. The plow blades are curved and tend to go DOWN when they hit something hard. Just my 2 cents.
