Just for grins, try it out on a battery and not the charger. It may still be bad, but a battery charger is not a very clean power supply (lots of noise and hum). Clocks / Hour meters don't like that too much. Again, only a thought before you toss it.

My first recollection of this tractor was when dad allowed my brother and myself to ride on the tractor with him driving.
