I agree..I would have thought there would be plenty of adjustment, but there just isn't that much at all. The 45 inch belt pulls the alternator all the way to the inside, and the longer belt requires the alternator be shifted all the way out. The middle would be just right. I have the 46 inch on right now, and it fits..but when it ultimately stretches I'll need the 45 inch belt, which is the size that was on that broke. It's a real pain to change the belt on the WD-45. I wasn't able to get the lower radiator hose to bend enough to go back on so I had to take the whole darned water pump off, put the hose on, make a new gasket, then put it all back together again. REALLY don't look forward to doing that in the near future!
