Has to do (at least in part) with longevity. Tractors are seriously overbuilt, designed to last thousands of hours under severe conditions. 10 years is a long time for a car, even with good maintenance. 10 years is nothing for a tractor, with routine maintenance. There's a lot of life left in most of them by then. That sort of engineering is why so many tractors from the 60's are still doing their job on farms all over the country.
