My sons had a small lock washer stuck between Clutch plate and pressure plate ,, ,, Musta laid clutch plate on work bench where greasey washer adhered itself to clutch plate , And in to the 76 Ford it went ,,, strangest acting Clutch I ever Drove, Nearly had to start the motor in gear ...They did not mind taking it back apart to see what was wrong ..
